Baltimore City General Election Preparation Open Thread

by: Andrew Kujan

Don't feel embarassed if you forgot. Tomorrow is the Baltimore City general election. For the first time in my life, I will probably vote for the Green candidate for Mayor City Council President.  My prediction is this, Democrats will win big.

I liked the City Paper's take on the general (4.00 / 1)
Here: http://citypaper.com...

"We have always known that heedless self-interest was bad morals; we know now that it is bad economics." -- Franklin D. Roosevelt

Actually... (4.00 / 1)
Allwine is running for City Council President.

But you should still vote for her!

"You have your thoughts and I have mine. This is the fact and you can't change it even if you kill me."— Ba Jin

oops (4.00 / 1)
Fixed.  In fact, I will probably be voting for whatever non-republican opposition is available on the ballot aside from my City Council Rep.

Me - not voting for any incumbents (4.00 / 1)
I'm voting for the Dem nominee in the 4rth district - Bill Henry - because I think he'll be great for the district and for the city. He's one of a handful of non-incumbents. And I'll be handing out his cards tomorrow morning at Govans Manor.

As for the higher spots, I'm following the advice of the City Paper (actually I had planned this before I read the article) and will be writing in my votes for the higher offices. Hardly matters who I write in - I can't vote for the machine or for the status quo. Sheila will be Mayor - but maybe if there are enough people to deny her a landslide we could start something........
